The Form element shows one of your forms on a page. It also decides the submit button and what visitors experience after they send it.
1
Open the page builder
Go to Pages and Menus, then Pages, and open the page's content.
2
Add the element
Add a Form element from the Forms category of the element picker.
3
Pick the form
Select the element, open Form Configuration and choose the form under Form.
4
Save the page
Save your page so the form goes live.
Disable initial loading overlay skips the overlay shown while the form loads for the first time.
The Content part sets the text of the submit button, and Button Style sets how it looks. Layout, background, border and effects work like on other elements.
Use a short action on the button, such as Send request, rather than a generic word.
In Success Configuration, first choose how success is detected, then what happens next. With Check a response parameter, you give the Response Parameter Path and the Expected Value that means success.
Show success notification
Shows a message. Enter the notification code to show, such as infoRegistered.
Redirect to URL
Sends the visitor to another address.
Clear form after submit
Empties the form so it can be used again.
Close Modal
Closes the modal the form sits in. Pick the modal under Modal to Close.
Trigger a page event
Runs one of the page's triggers. Pick it under Select Event to Trigger.
You can combine several actions.
Failure Configuration works the same way. Choose how a failure is detected, then pick Show error notification with a notification code, Redirect to URL, or both.
You can pick both actions together, for example to show an error and then send the visitor to a help page.
A few patterns cover most sites.
To open a form in a popup, place the Form element inside a Modal element and use Close Modal after success.
For a single email signup box, the Newsletter element is quicker than building a form.
The same form can appear on several pages. Changes to the form show on all of them.
